Public Speaking in the Disciplines - This course taught me how to craft and deliver speeches with purpose, adapting my message to suit different audiences and contexts. This class challenged me to write and perform original speeches, conduct interviews, and provide thoughtful feedback - all of which helped build my confidence, sharpen my persuasive communication skills, and strengthen my presence in front of a crowd.


Intercultural Communication - This course deepened my understanding of how communication practices vary across cultures and emphasized the importance of empathy, open-mindedness and adaptability. I was challenged to research and analyze communication norms in different cultural contexts, comparing them to my own experiences and assumptions. This process not only broadened my perspective but also sharpened my critical thinking, improved my listening skills, and enhanced my ability to navigate diverse professional environments. The course taught me to approach communication with greater respect, cultural awareness, and consideration for others' worldviews.


Social Media Strategies - In this class I gained practical experience in social media marketing, learning how to develop a brand voice, build consumer relationships, and engage audiences across various platforms. I earned a Hootsuite Social Marketing Certification, which strengthened my ability to manage content, analyze performance metrics, and adapt strategies based on data and trends. this course taught me how to use digital media strategically, stay ahead of social trends, and communicate effectively in the fast-paced world of online branding.


Communication Ethics - This course taught me how to evaluate and apply ethical theories and practices in both professional and personal communication. Through analyzing real-world moral situations and communication scenarios, I developed the ability to make thoughtful, ethical decisions rooted in integrity and accountability. This course deepened my understanding of the vital role ethics plays in building trust, honesty, and strong relationships. It continues to guide how I approach communication with fairness and responsibility.


Organizational Behavior - This course provided me with a deeper understanding of human behavior and motivation within the workplace. I developed key leadership skills by exploring conflict resolution strategies, team dynamics, and the role of self-awareness in effective leadership. I learned how my own behavior can influence others and impact the overall work environment. Most important the course emphasized the power of effective communication in building strong relationships, motivating team members, and driving productivity and organizational success.
